Silence As A Powerful Tool

Most people now are afraid of the word silence. In fact, we associate it as bad rather than good. In our modern times, we do need moments of silence one in a while. The periods of silence is a perfect time for meditation and reflection.

It is important that we reserve some portion of our day for this activity because it here that we can really recharge ourselves. We can find many benefits of having regular meditation and reflection.

There are times that we lie down and suddenly feels we have to look back and reflect in our lives for a while.

You may find yourself looking far away, sit down while looking on the horizon and you seem to like the feeling that there are no people around and it's just you and looking blank into space. That is the time, your self is really looking for some quality time to reflect and meditate.

The reason is because meditation has healing power. Moment of silence helps us to clear our minds for a while and listen to our own selves. There are times too that in the quietness of our spirit, we may hear the small voice of God speaking in our hearts.

This is the reason there are easter religions

that puts a lot of great importance on the practice of meditation like Buddhism and Hinduism. This is the reason why some people would choose living like a monk because solitude and meditation has amazing effects for your mind and well-being.

If you don't know how to meditate and reflect in life, you would soon accumulate lots of emotional pollution in your system or your thinking starts to get clouded. We need to stop for a while and soul cleanse through meditation.

You don't have to be religious in doing certain meditations or do some mystical rituals. Just by simply reading inspiratoinal books, lying on a highback chair and enjoying the nature sights, listening to mellow music or doing your journal is a way for you to energize yourself through silence. You will also find new ideas or creative ideas coming from nowhere when you just stop for a while and relax. Before you get out again in the real world, stop for a while and heal yourself with meditation.
